GREAT sabers, but let me tell you about their AMAZING Customer Service

So first off, these sabers — especially at this price — are by far the best Ashoka sabers I’ve found, and I already owned another pair. They’re also the only ones with 1” blades as the others do 7/8” to cut the size of the hilts, making this set all the better!

That said, I did have an issue. The shoto stopped working after a couple of weeks, so Gavin in Customer Service sent me videos showing how to safely and easily (SHOCKINGLY easy) take the saber apart and send him videos of the buttons, wires, and boards. He accurately diagnosed every issue related to the button board — the culprit. They sent me replacement boards at no cost to me, showed me videos of how to remove the old and install the new, and then diagnosed a very minor problem I accidentally created during the install (loose speaker caused board to vibrate, triggering FOC in an endless loop). Now they both work perfectly!

I admit to getting a little miffed that they wanted me to send the old one back to get a replacement sent to me, but DHL wanted $300 to send it back to China, which is more than the shoto cost me; but the customer service team staying with me for weeks and the expert diagnostics fixing the problem for far lower cost for everyone made everything worth it. I just wish some bad customers hadn’t ruined it for the rest of us.

If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to partner with someone who has a US address so that issues and broken hilts can be returned promptly and do not cost hundreds of dollars. Overall though, very satisfied!
